Last year this time the Alumni Roundup events in Atlanta brought out hundreds of folks to spend quality time together and also to celebrate Roundup Russy’s Birthday.
This year, having never been to the West Coast, Russy and Tito proposed that we take the show on the road to Los Angeles. So this week we are in LA with the dual mission of celebrating and catching up with some pretty cool Alumni form our network. Stay tuned here and on Russy’s blog to see how we make it happen.
Day 1: Getting there.
I took the flight from JFK which is a pain in the but to get to, but has more direct flights and some pretty cool amenities. To get there and avoid mega parking charges I took a car service. The guy I got however drove like a circus clown, and the ride felt like this…
When puting in 5+ hours on a flight I always like to bring something to write with and something to read. For you aspiring businessmen be sure to check out this article in the newest Best Life Magazine. There is a really good article on Jay-Z’s personal brand.
Never be bothered again by little “Jeffrey” again on your flights as long as you pick up some noise canceling headphones. Just remember to pack spare batteries.
One of the coolest perks of the flight form JFK is that every passenger has their own TV screen with which you can tune in to a selection of cable channels and on demand movies. I didn’t have to miss the President’s address. Pretty cool.
The last key detail about our arrival is the accommodation. For what turns out to be equivalent to the hotel rates we were able to secure executive housing in Beverly Hills. Keep your eyes open for deals. In this economy there are opportunities abundant.
