Representation without taxation

What if I told you there was a magical island paradise free from income and sales tax?

In the Bahamas there is no income, corporate, capital gains nor inheritance tax. 70% of government revenue is derived from the duties which apply to nearly all imported goods with the exception of books and computers. The U.S. government would have us believe that without taxes our quality of life would be diminished. To the contrary, the US and Bahamian dollar are equal, the literacy rate is 95%, and medical and dental treatment is less than in the United States.

What is the government doing with the trillions they take from our paychecks and purchases?

Are taxes a necessary evil or strong armed theft?
