Thinking of starting your own business?

Finally we kick the new year off with the new Business section on AlumniRoundup.com. So for those business minded individuals that are or have been dabbling with the idea of going out on their own and starting their own business, may I suggest to you the first book that you should read, and New York Times #1 seller for over 6 years, “Rich Dad Poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki.

Kiyosaki has several financial seminars and products that he markets on his website, one that we have tried and definitely recommend is the game CashFlow and CashFlow for Kids board games. Their objective is to allow you to learn by doing and to eventually heighten your financial literacy. Try it out, you will not be disappointed and hopefully by the end of the game you will have gotten yourself …”out of the rat race!”

Each week we will feature different books, articles, interviews and blogs that we have found to be both insightful and great resources on the journey towards becoming a successful entrepreneur. As we hope to make this a highly interactive portion of our newly designed website, we hope that you not only enjoy our suggestions but also leave your own suggestions as well. Let’s share what we have and grow together.

One response to “Thinking of starting your own business?”

  1. As I was reading then skimming through the myriad of comments above, another reason came to mind. On a blog with many comments I often do not comment even though I may have something to say. I may be repeating something already said and often do not have the time to read all comments that have already been made.
