Damali Elliott is Having a Huge Positive Impact in The Lives of Young Ladies

My Name is…Damali Elliott

…and I’m an out of this world, leap for the stars DREAMER! I believe we each have dreams that are connected to our purpose. As the super nice do-gooder, who smiles at everyone and will most likely greet you with a hug, it may be hard to see that I am FEARLESS and RELENTLESS when it comes to my dreams!

The reason you are reading about me is… over the past two years I have worked hard to live out my purpose and bring my dream to life “Petals-N-Belles.” Petals-N-Belles is a non-profit organization, redefining mentoring and allowing young girls to discover who they are and begin working towards their dreams. When it comes to young girls, Petals-N-Belles will be the Google of Non-profits… innovative, life-chaining, exciting!

Right now I’m working on… building and growing Petals-N-Belles. Last year we began our program with 24 young girls and this fall we are opening the door to an additional 24 mentees. This is my proof that dreams do come true!

But if I wasn’t I’d be… traveling the world and finding a way to help all those that are less fortunate. We each have a story and I want to use my story to inspire those around me.

One thing I do every day is… tell my parents I LOVE them. My mom is my “Pookie” (top secret information) and although she dislikes it, I MUST kiss her at least 20 times to feel good.

I can’t stand when people… use the Lord’s name in vain. This really eats me up. If you aren’t saying a prayer why call “GOD’S” name? Prayers mean a lot to me, so when I pray I really need GOD to listen. All these folks are dialing in and prank calling when I’m really in need.

But I love it when people… say “Petals-N-Belles,” this is a huge treat! I remember the first time I introduced myself and began pitching Petals-N-Belles, the person I was speaking with said “I’ve heard of Petals-N-Belles.” With a dumb founded huge smile, filled with excitement, I said “REALLY?” It’s so thrilling when others recognize your dream.

If you happen to run into me in the street… expect to hear the latest about Petals-N-Belles mentees and programs.

The Best piece of advice I ever received was… “You have everything you need, you just don’t realize it yet,” as per my mentors Les Brown & Julie VanPutten.

If I had to coin it, my message would be… “Those who leap for their dreams never fall short of happiness and don’t have to wonder what could have been! Instead, they remain content that they used all their strength to do something bigger than them!” © – Damali Elliott

My future plans and projects include… Petals-N-Belles and working with young girls worldwide.

Big Ups to… all the DREAMERS. Choose to be your dream and live it. YES, following your dreams will be HARD and filled with challenges, heart felt life lessons and moments when you will have no idea what to do; this means you are on the RIGHT path!
