BlackGreek.TV was developed out of the question, “Are Black Greek Lettered Organizations still relevant today?” Lillian Jones, Content Director of EMQ Networks, suggests they are, “These organizations still hold fellowship, scholarship, and service as its main pillars and are constanly working in our communities. The problem is more people see the parties than the community outreach.”

EMQ Networks’ goal with developing BlackGreek.TV was to create a space to showcase and share a well rounded depiction of the Black Greek lifestyle and experience. Programming for the network will include spotlights on top under-graduate and graduate chapter members, special events, service projects, and more. Compare the Nexus One vs. Palm Pre vs iPhone including cost to own

Now that Google’s Nexus One phone has been revealed, the question everyone is asking is how does it compare to the other current top smartphones on the market, most notably, iPhone and Motorola Droid? Moreover, is it worth switching to Nexus One from your current device?

The biggest difference is total cost of ownership, and Nexus One wins big there over iPhone and Droid because T-Mobile’s plans are less expensive than those offered by AT&T and Verizon, who carry the iPhone and Droid, respectively. But that comes with a caveat too — T-Mobile’s 3G coverage isn’t on par with that of Verizon, and even trails that of the much maligned AT&T.

Father’s Day Technology Gifts

I don’t consider myself a gadget freak but there are a few tech items that I’ve purchased this year that are worth sharing.. Check out the following and you just might get an idea of what to get your father, husband or special man in your life:

So I just picked up a Sirius Radio system.. Well actually, Ford blessed me with a Sirius Radio system in the Ford Fiesta. I was also pleasantly surprised to open my door to a UPS man with a Sirius Radio Boombox delivery shortly after. You never will realize how cool Commercial Free radio is until you have it. I really don’t like local radio stations also because they end up playing the SAME top 10 songs every hour. It really gets annoying.. But with Sirius, I get worldwide music and a crazy variety to choose from. The Boombox has a dedicated Subwoofer in the bottom so it really delivers a range of sound. Additionally, It can take C batteries so I can use it outside if I don’t have an outlet in close range.
