75,000 Turn out to See Obama. Is America Ready?

I’m sure there is some editing here on timing, and clearly this video is meant to show us that he is being accepted by middle America. That’s all good.

Can Obama win against the War Machine that is the GOP?

Are you surprised that this may be a possibility in your lifetime?

Sound off.

  1. I was there at the 75,000+ Obama rally! And I was with a crew of HBCU alums and other folks of color. What you don’t see is the people in the trees, lightposts, bridges and the overwhelming multitude of boats pulled up to the shoreline filled with people. There may be careful editing in the video but be clear, Oregon is predominantly white, mostly liberal and these folks take this race seriously. For all of you who have been on the campaign trail, I’m sure you’ll agree the experience was amazing! If there was ever a time for the nation to receive a person of color in the White House, the time is NOW!

  2. I was at the rally too. Got a horrible sun burn to show for it too. I was able to video tape it for Portland Community Media. I will be finished editing it this week. It was awesome to be apart of an historic event!!! I hope this drama with Hillary is done and over with by June 3rd so he can focus on the general election!

I think he can. Too many would-be GOP supporters are broke, over-worked, under-insured, paying through the nose in the grocery stores and at the pumps, getting laid off, loosing their houses and sick of status quo!

Are you surprised that this may be a possibility in your lifetime?

Absolutely. Though I knew this type of significant multi-sourced unrest could not continue indefinitely without an equally significant and opposing counter measure, I had no idea that it would come from a Black man in this decade. ‘Till this point, group-think indoctrinated a philosophy that a white woman had a far better chance of becoming president than a Black man any day… makes me question the true origin of that perspective… and a few others…

    YES-WE-CAN!
