Atlanta, GA
Coming into this game Florida A & M had just come off of a monstrous win over Howard University just last week (50 – 7), to top that off, FAMU Alum and Celebrity Movie Producer Will Packer flipped the coin to welcome Tennessee State to Atlanta. TSU won the toss and commanded the speed of the game as they scored on their initial drive (:23 seconds in). TSU continued this roll and pulled off a win (TSU:29 FAMU:18).
Attendance was great again for another year. From walking up Northside Drive and Georgia Dome Boulevard smelling the barbecue cuisine and hearing the eclectic collective soundtrack of the tailgaters, you felt welcome whether you were in town visiting or were an alum that couldn’t wait to get inside and cheer for the yearly rivalry.
HBCU Halftime is always the highlight of the game for me.
The only mistake I made was wearing my full FAMU regalia on the field … so I felt a LOT of heat when I walked over to the TSU side to capture great shots..
I will dress accordingly next year TSU.. sorry
If you make it to Atlanta next year.. Give me a shout..I’m definitely coming back
