T. Prescott Reavis is On the Move

My Name is… T. Prescott Reavis

The reason you are reading about me is…
I am a change agent who makes positive impacts for undeserved communities in the areas of architecture, the built environment and education. I’m am an Associate and Corporate Internship Coordinator at the International Architecture firm Anshen+Allen and serve as the University Liaison West for the National Organization of Minority Architects. In my spare time, I am an avid skier and ski coach who has put my athletes onto the US Ski Team and into the Olympics.

Right now I’m working on… Numerous projects, completing the construction of the first ground up LEED Silver Certified Hospital in California. Researching how culture affects they way people perceive a healthcare environment. Developing and implementing camps to introduce minority youth to the profession of architecture and create the next generation of community advocates for sustainable communities.

But if I wasn’t, I’d be… Making beautiful arcs in fresh powder during day and grooving to soulful music in the evening with my special lady.

One thing I do every day is… Stretch, exercise and meditate.

I can’t stand when people… Be frontin’ and are not their authentic self.

But I love it when people… Surprise you with compassion, concern and solutions.

If you happen to run into me in the street… Holla at a brother, lets talk and see what we can do together to make life better for our people.

The Best piece of advice I ever received was… Choose to do things in your life you are passionate about, become an expert and success will come to you.

If I had to coin it, my message would be… It is better to fail trying, then to fail to try at all.

My future plans and projects include… finalizing my consultant company which focus on providing planning, design and strategic planning for undeserved communities. Implementing camps and programs to expose minority youth to architecture and the built environment, across the country. Provide education and resources to our people about sustainability.

Big Ups to… My family, HU school of Architecture & Planning family, CLC and of course Be ‘Money’ Moore
