Phylicia Rashad Shopping for Chicago Jazz at Amoeba

Phylicia Rashad is making her Los Angeles directorial debut with the Ebony Repertory Theatre’s production of Lorraine Hansberry’s classic play “A RAISIN IN THE SUN.” While in town she stopped by one of MY favorite haunts, Amoeba Record Store, to pick up some 1950’s Chicago Jazz.

Check out her interview, and if you ever run into her on the street be sure to tell her “THANK YOU.”

Rashad is a critically-acclaimed and award-winning actress whose Broadway credits include: August Osage County, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Raisin in the Sun (2004 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play, Drama Desk Award), Jelly’s Last Jam, Into the Woods, Dreamgirls, The Wiz and Ain’t Supposed To Die A Natural Death.
