I found a lot of what Dr. Morrow said to be true. Emotional conversations rarely happen between male friends. Growing up, if you start talking about your feelings and emotions, you are thought of as “soft” or feminine. Adversely, the effects that holding your thoughts, emotions and feelings in are far worse than the consequences of letting them be heard. Holding all of your introspective thoughts can lead to intensified emotional outbursts all at one time, High Blood Pressure and other stress related issues. So, whether it is a spouse, a friend/confidant or a professional, please practice healthy communication.
